Welcome to the work of Megan Miller, an award-winning plein air painter based in Stillwater, Minnesota.

Megan works primarily in oils, painting outdoors and spending as much time as possible observing and documenting the landscape. Her work is rooted in the St. Croix River Valley and the Upper Midwest, with regular painting trips to Colorado and other places that inspire her. These plein air studies become a foundation for larger studio paintings, allowing her to explore scale, light, atmosphere, and the feeling of a place more deeply.

Megan creates large-scale commissioned landscape paintings for homes and spaces meant to be lived in. With a background in both Fine Art and Interior Design, she has a natural understanding of how artwork can connect with a room—bringing in a sense of place, quiet presence, and balance while complementing the people and life within it.

Whether painted on location or developed into a larger studio piece, Megan’s work is an invitation to slow down, notice the landscape, and bring a little more of that feeling home.

Megan was awarded Exceptional Merit in the Open Class at the Grand Marais Plein Air Painting Event.
