Supplies

We go over supplies at the first class, just bring a notebook on the first day. After that you will need to purchase your supplies.

2 palette knives

Brushes: I use a mix of oil paint brushes, I would select one flat, filbert and round.

I generally use sizes #4, #5 and #6 and add as you go. Make sure brushes are for oil painting
I use Gamblin Gamsol Odorless Mineral Spirts or Walnut Oil for cleaning and mixing.

Portable Painting easel OR a flat piece of plexiglass to paint on approx 12”x18”
My painter’s box is from Art Work Essentials they also have some accessories

www.artworkessentials.com

Painting Surface

I use Pintura linen panels, or you can use Centurion Oil Primed lined panels. For studies Deluxe Professional Oil Primed Linen Pads by Centurion (OP DLX) are great to work on. There are some oil paper pads that work for practice too.

4-6x8 panels 4-8x10 panels – this is a minimum for class The linen pads are perfectly fine for class practice as well. Those can be taped on a panel to paint on. I will send out a short video to explain the set up as well. Do not worry about the set up if you haven’t done it before!
